Dr. Alon Lavie (Founder, President/CEO)
Dr. Lavie is the Founder and President & CEO of Safaba Translation Solutions. He is an expert in the field of Machine Translation and an Associate Research Professor at Carnegie Mellon University's Language Technologies Institute and currently serving as President of the Association for Machine Translation in the Americas (AMTA). Dr. Lavie, with his intimate knowledge of the Machine Translation field and enabling technologies, founded Safaba after identifying an opportunity to transform the publicly available baseline technology into a game changer for the Translation & Localization industry as a whole and to the benefit of linguists, language service providers and their customers. Dr. Lavie and his CMU research group developed an innovative approach to Machine Translation, developing systems that combine statistical methods and rich linguistic knowledge and leading to the development of Safabas proprietary solutions. Dr. Lavie holds a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University.

Dr. Robert Olszewski (Founder, VP of Engineering)
Dr. Olszewski is the Co-Founder and Vice President of Engineering for Safaba Translation Solutions. Prior to joining Safaba, he worked at Carnegie Speech, a Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science spin-off technology company focused on developing software for assessing and teaching spoken language skills. While at Carnegie Speech Dr. Olszewski lead various aspects of the development cycle of the Language-Tutoring software systems operating under a SaaS delivery model. Dr. Olszewski holds a PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University, where he specialized in machine learning, pattern recognition, and classification.

Mr. Udi Hershkovich (VP of Business Development)
Udi Hershkovich is the Vice President of Business Development at Safaba Translation Solutions. As a dynamic and innovative business executive and entrepreneur, with nearly twenty years of experience in the software industry, he has won the International Trade Award and Excellence Recognition for Outstanding Performance for his success developing international business ventures. Originally a software engineer himself, Mr. Hershkovich has evolved his career to lead business development and growth for multiple software companies around the globe. Prior to joining Safaba, Mr. Hershkovich established the subsidiary of XACCT Technologies in Australia becoming an APAC regional business success. With the acquisition of XACCT by Amdocs he lead the transformation of the acquired company into a successful business and growth engine for Amdocs. Mr. Hershkovich holds degrees in both Law and Business from the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya.
